Master of Science in Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Students will be given the opportunity to acquire clinical competency through various rotations for the clinical component of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging curriculum. Clinical rotations are scheduled throughout each semester to give students a well-rounded clinical experience. Students will be asked to rotate on the UMMC campus as well as off-campus. Students should be prepared to provide their own transportation and other incidental expenses for travel to the assigned clinical affiliations.

Students may be subject to additional background checks or drug screening as required by specific clinical facilities. Students are responsible for any incurred costs relating to these requests. Professional liability insurance is provided by the school at no additional cost to the student. Any additional liability insurance policies are at the students’ own discretion and cost.

Clinical rotations are scheduled during normal operating hours; no evening or weekend rotations are required for the program. Students attend clinical rotations from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and from 7:30 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday and Thursday. Didactic courses are held from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
